This multi-tiered Kobako contains a vintage set of small performance/chant booklets for a celebratory and auspicious Noh play, Kinsatsu, printed January 1922. The chant pages are performance texts, not ordinary prose. They include rhythm, vocal and delivery indications. The group spans several thematic zones of Noh repertoire: celestial or immortal tradition, Chinese court tradition, native shrine or kami tradition, and auspicious talisman tradition.The top tier of this Kobako represents the immortal world whereas the lower tier represents the earthly world.
